iTrackExpense ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the iTrackExpense mobile application ("App") and website at itrackexpense.app ("Site").

By using the App or Site, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Account information: Email address when you sign up for early access or contact support.
  • Financial data: Expense transactions, receipts, budget settings, and related data you enter in the App.
  • Contact information: Name, email, and message content when you contact support.

Information Collected Automatically

App

  • The App stores your financial data locally on your device and syncs to your personal iCloud account. We do not receive or store your financial data on our servers.
  • Crash reports and performance data may be collected by Apple through standard iOS diagnostics, subject to your device privacy settings.

Website

  • We use Google Analytics 4 to collect aggregate, anonymized data about how visitors use our Site (pages visited, session duration, traffic sources). This is only activated after you provide cookie consent.
  • Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, referring URL) collected by our hosting provider Vercel.

How We Use Information

We do not use your financial data for any purpose. It is stored in your iCloud account and we cannot access it.

Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except:

  • Service providers: We use Resend (email delivery) and Mailchimp (email list management) as processors acting on our behalf, subject to strict data processing agreements.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.
  • Business transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the same privacy protections.

Data Retention

  • Early access email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe.
  • Support correspondence is retained for up to 2 years.
  • Website analytics data is retained per Google Analytics settings (default 14 months).
  • Your financial data in the App is stored in your iCloud account and governed by Apple's iCloud Terms and Privacy Policy.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate information.
  • Deletion: Request that we delete your personal information.
  • Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by contacting us.

California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:

  • The right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it.
  • The right to request deletion of your personal information.
  • The right to opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell personal information.
  • The right to non-discrimination for exercising your CCPA rights.

Children's Privacy

iTrackExpense is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us.

Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. However, no internet transmission or storage system is 100% secure.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the Site or sending an email to registered users. The date at the top of this policy reflects the last update.
